Planning a wedding in Texas can be a bit nerve-wracking, especially if rain is in the forecast. But don’t let a little drizzle rain on your parade! With some careful preparation and smart thinking, you can still have an amazing day, come rain or shine. So, let’s get into some helpful tips that will make sure your big day is everything you dreamed of! All while enjoying some photos from Megan and Ryan’s wedding!

Wedding Tents

Renting a tent as a backup in case of rain is a wise move that alleviates a lot of stress. Tents provide shelter for you and your guests, but can also add an interesting visual element to your wedding photos. When selecting a tent, opt for a clear one instead of white, as it provides better lighting options that can help create a warm and inviting atmosphere. With a clear tent, you can enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings while still staying protected from the elements.

The rain was forecasted for Megan and Ryan’s day so they prepared accordingly, and it ended up being sunny for the majority of the day. But having the backup plan and help from the wedding planner kept everyone’s stress at bay!

Umbrellas

Bulk ordering umbrellas for the bride, groom, and bridal party is a smart way to stay dry in case of rain. It’s also a great idea to leave a few extra for your guests. Clear umbrellas are an excellent choice because they allow you to show off your gorgeous faces and stunning decorations. To make things easier for your guests, consider sending out an email or message a day before to remind them to bring their own umbrella (BYOU). With everyone on board, you can be sure to have a wedding that is prepared for any weather and filled with beautiful memories.

Talk with Your Florist

Rainy weather can often mean a gloomy day, but hey, maybe that’s your thing! If so, you do you. On the other hand, if you want to keep the vibes high and happy, ask your florist to choose some colorful blooms that brighten up any space. Megan and Ryan’s florist was Remi and Gold – they did an amazing job that can be inspiration for your wedding!

Outdoor Heaters

If temperatures begin dropping on your big day, make sure there are outside heaters placed around so everyone stays comfortable and warm during the ceremony or reception. Hand warmers are also a great addition to keep everyone feeling cozy and cared for!

Overall, if your wedding day is scorching hot or rainy and gloomy, you can use this weather to your advantage! Like utilizing whimsical umbrellas for photos, having a memorable dance party indoors, to planning an event that embraces summer rain. These are all tips to consider if rain is forecasted on your wedding day. Do not let the weather dictate how much fun you will have on your wedding day! It’s important to find good ways to make sure you still enjoy the day. Use the weather as an element of surprise & come up with beautiful memories.
