In search of a romantic and editorial-style photo session, Genesis and Tyler found the perfect location in the heart of Austin at the Texas State Capitol building. Being former college athletes from Texas State, Genesis and Tyler chose the Capitol building to pay tribute to where they first met. The majestic architecture made it the engagement location that captured their love story. With the Capitol building’s grandeur, they knew it would create an unforgettable backdrop for their shoot.

Genesis wore a beautiful dress for her engagement photos from NA-KD Fashion. It was the cutest dress for anything bridal! NA-KD Fashion is a great store for engagement dress inspiration. While the specific dress Genesis wore is no longer available, they have plenty of other options to choose from! Their dresses are perfect for modern editorial engagements and even bridal photos.

The Engagement Location

The Texas State Capitol is free and open to the public. It’s also surrounded by great food options in downtown Austin. We could grab a bite and include it in your photos for a personalized touch. It’s hands down the best engagement spot in Austin, in my opinion!

The city has recently been constructing the grounds and plans to complete them by 2025. The good news is that they’re almost done with the exterior work! In addition, its walls have seen so much history over the years, dating back to 1888. The Texas State Capitol offers a unique backdrop for an engagement location or a chance to soak up local history.
